  • Homeschooling 10 Kids: What Our Scripture-Based Routine Looks Like

    People always ask me,
“How do you homeschool ten children without losing your mind?”

    The answer is simple:
We start with God, we end with grace, and everything in between is flexible.

Homeschooling this many kids isn’t about perfect schedules — it’s about creating a rhythm everyone understands.

🌞 Our Daily Rhythm (Simple + Scriptural)

    1. Morning Devotional (10–15 minutes)

We begin with scripture, prayer, and a simple thought for the day.
Kids don’t have to sit perfectly still — they just have to be present.

    2. Independent Bible Journaling (All Ages)

Each child writes or draws something based on:

    • a verse
    • a thought
    • a question

This sets the tone for peaceful minds before academics.

    3. Core Subjects in Stations

To prevent chaos, I rotate the kids in stations:

    • Reading
    • Math
    • Writing
    • Hands-on learning

Kids learn more when they feel seen and not rushed.

    4. Group Learning

    We gather for:

    • nature study
    • science projects
    • read-alouds
    • history stories

    This is where connection grows.

    5. Afternoon Work + Life Skills

Laundry, cleaning, cooking, gardening — these are lessons.
Children learn responsibility, teamwork, and independence.

🌿 The Scripture That Guides Our Homeschool

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
    — Proverbs 22:6

Homeschooling is never perfect — but it is intentional.
And God fills in the gaps.

When Life Shifts: Finding Strength After Becoming a Single Mom

There are some moments in life that divide everything into before and after.
When my home shifted from a two-parent household to a one-parent household, I felt like the ground under my feet changed completely. The routines were different. The energy was different. The weight of responsibility suddenly doubled — and so did the worry.

But in that same moment, something else grew too:
    my strength.

I didn’t feel strong at first. I felt tired, overwhelmed, and unsure of what tomorrow would look like. But God moved quietly through those early days, reminding me:

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

And little by little, I realized that being a single mom isn’t about doing everything alone — it’s about letting God fill the gaps.

    What This Season Taught Me

    • I am capable of more than I imagined.
    • My children are stronger and more resilient than I ever realized.
    • God meets me exactly where I am — even in the chaos.
    • Peace isn’t the absence of struggle; it’s trusting God within the struggle.

To Every Mama Facing a New Beginning

    You are not failing.
    You are not broken.
    You are becoming.

Your journey may look different than you expected, but God can build something beautiful from it.

You are stronger than you know.
